As a millenial, I grew up in a digital era where technological innovations continuously evolving, and I am witness on the big transformation our world have and that is because of technology that was invented by the people who made a great contribution in the world. With the immensity of technological advancements, it then brings out the discovery of social media which is purposively for communication and spreading of information. Netizens are the people who are using the internet or in the online world and I believe that they are also responsible on what they click, post and share in those platform. With that, proper netiquette must be practiced by the the netizens in order to have a productive and reliable online world.

Social media brings out a huge impact in the society in which it can serve as a platform in disseminating information much easier. Everyone can access it even in a longer distance whether you are young or old, girl or boy, gay or lesbian, white or black, as long as a person has capability in doing so. By just a simple click anything would change, anyone would be influenced, and that just makes it stands out from the past inventions. It is something that is very useful to mankind nowadays especially that we are now leaving in an era where technology strikes.

As a netizen, I would advice everyone to know what they share, when to share, and why should they share those information. Social media was discovered for a purpose and that purpose is to spread good information and awareness for everyone, but then some people abused these and use it as a bad platform. That proves that social media is not just for good awareness, it also has bad sides because of inclusiveness and freedom which leads negativity to foster. Therefore, whatever impact may happen online, people posting and sharing those information are the ones who are reliable on that matter.

Some of the users tend to go beyond their limitations without knowing that they aren’t in the right path of being good netizens. Most of the time, people were getting more open to their personal problems online which is supposedly something that should be solved first within themselves. There are some also who use it for cybercrime which is definitely a crossing in the border line and can hurt man’s dignity. As such, the netizens just proves how social media was misused and that they take off its true purpose.

The world is truly evolving as it continues to develop the people’s mind and things around us. Social media proved it all, it is a creation by the innovativeness of the people behind its success. A success that really creates a great impact whether it may be good or bad.
